Edible Favors
Q – When giving out edible favors should I give per person or per couple?
A – Since it is food, it should be given per person. So each person could enjoy it. The favor may not have many pieces.
Q – I am getting married in the summer, is there something edible I could give as my favor other than chocolate?
A – The sky is the limit when it comes to Edible Favors. You could do pretzels, cookies, fortune cookies just to name a few. Visit our Certified Vendors and select Unique and Edible Favors for some ideas.
Q – What can I do if I am thinking about doing an edible favor for my guests, but I am concerned about having they stay fresh?
A – If you are going to do an edible favor make sure that the company you are using is delivering them to you (or your facility) freshly baked. Upon ordering make sure to ask what conditions the favors need to be kept in until your guests will receive them. If you need to have them kept cool, make sure you check that your catering facility will be able to accommodate you.
Q- I like the idea of doing edible favors but would that cost more money then traditional favors?
A – No, edible favors are usually priced around the same price per couple.
Entertainment
Q – Which is better a DJ or a Band?
A – It is a personal preference. Go to some band and DJ showcases. Experience both and then decide what your budget is. Before you fall in love with them, make sure they have your wedding date available.
Q – What can I do if I can’t afford a Band but I really want to incorporate live music into my wedding?
A – If you want to have live music at your wedding and you can’t afford to have a band, ask your DJ if they can provide you with live enhancements for your wedding. This means you will have a DJ playing along with the live enhancement of your choice such as percussion or maybe even a saxophone. Whatever instrument of your choice will be an enhancement to your DJ and will really give off that live music “vibe” that you want to enjoy during your wedding. You can also ask if they have specialty music for cocktail hour or during dinner. During that hour you can have live music that can be a part of your DJ package.
Q – I am interested in having a band for my Wedding but how will I know if they really perform well?
A – What is great about bands is that most of them have live showcases where you can actually go and see them perform live. They do a mock Wedding so that you can see how they will perform for your big day. Also what is great is that the showcases are complimentary and a lot of fun!
Etiquette
Q – Whose names should go on the Wedding Invitations?
A- There are many ways you can word invitations, but usually you would include the names of the people who are helping you to plan the wedding (usually parents) and the Bride and Grooms name.
Q – How can I let my guests know that children are welcome at the ceremony but are not invited to the reception?
A – It is perfectly fine to let your guests know that children will not be included in the reception, on your invitations you will put in the bottom left corner “Adult reception immediately to follow”
Q – How do I let my guests know the proper attire?
A -On your invitation you can add as a corner copy the type of attire you prefer. For formal attire you can add either “Black tie” or “Formal Attire”. ” Black tie optional” is also an option which let’s your guests know there will be tuxedo’s and gowns, although not everyone has to wear exactly that, the attire is still formal and they should dress accordingly. For casual attire, simply add “Casual Attire” as your corner copy.
